Carolina Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Specialists provide the full spectrum of orthopaedic care to patients of all age groups and activity levels. Our staff includes four orthopaedic surgeons who are trained in all facets of orthopaedic surgery including arthroscopy, total joint replacements of the hip, knee & shoulder, and adult reconstructive surgery. In addition, our physician assistants have a combined total of twenty plus years of experience specializing in orthopaedic care.

Sports medicine is an integral part of our spectrum of services. Doctors David Esposito, Douglas Messina and Craig Lippe have experience in evaluating and treating athletes at all levels of competition including collegiate and professional athletics. Our staff includes certified athletic trainers who get involved in the prevention and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.

To facilitate in the recovery from an orthopaedic condition, our practice has an outpatient physical therapy department operating under the name of Carolina Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy. This physical therapy and sports medicine center specializes in the treatment of complex knee and shoulder injuries, post operative joint arthroscopies and replacements, and non-operative orthopaedic conditions. Our certified therapists are trained in the use of the McKenzie method for the mechanical assessment and treatment/management of back and neck pain.
